KNOWLEDGE QUESTIONS
Knowledge based aural questions will be used throughout the course to help assess learners’ understanding and fill any gaps in knowledge that may not have been fully demonstrated during practical tasks or written assignments. Learners may be asked simple verbal questions during activities or in a more structured discussion with staff. Questions could relate to areas such as horse health and welfare, safe working practices, grooming tools, feeding routines, stable management or horse behaviour. This allows learners to explain their understanding in their own words and gives staff the opportunity to check confidence, reinforce learning and provide additional support where needed.
